ABOUT

As the founder of Agrue Consulting Group (Formerly Agrue Research and Agrue, Beers & DeLapp Investigations) I have tried to provide our clients with honest and quality results these last 40 years. I am currently licensed in Oregon and certified in both state and Federal courts to work on death penalty cases as either a fact investigator or mitigation specialist. Not only have I been an active private investigator but I have authored numerous articles in trade magazines (PI Magazine, OALI' Newsletter, The Oregon Investigator Magazine) and have been a featured instructor and lecturer at investigator trade conferences both local and National. I have been featured in several news paper articles (Oregonian, Sacramento Bee) and was profiled in The PI Magazine and The Investigators Little Black Book. I served as the president of The Oregon Association of Licensed Investigators from 1997 to 1998. I was a contributing author to The Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (OCDLA) Investigator Manual. I have served as a consultant on such crime shows as Case Closed. I was the former Oregon State Bar appointee to The Oregon Department of Public Safety, Standards and Training (DPSST) the State's licensing authority for, police, fire, parole/probation, polygraph, private investigators and other public safety professionals. At DPSST I proudly served 4 years as the chairman of the private investigator sub-committee striving at all times to properly represent the profession and increase educational opportunities for private investigators. My investigative experience has been in both the public and private sectors which gives me a broad insight and unique perspectives on how I approach cases. I still work with newer private investigators as a mentor and resource and often find I learn as much or more from them as they do from me.

IMPORTANT

If you came looking to hire a private investigator, please continue reading. After 40 years as a licensed professional private investigator and death penalty mitigation specialist I have decided to slow down and go into semi-retirement. My current cases are extremely complex requiring my undivided attention and focus. They will keep me busy through 2023 and I will be unable to take any new cases until late December 2023 or until January 2024. Starting in 2023 I only work part time and am remaining selective in accepting new cases. So please keep that in mind when contacting me.

THANK YOU!

I want to express my sincere appreciation to the many loyal clients some which I have had the privilege and honor to work with since I started back in 1983. These last 40 years have been an incredible journey and an amazing learning experience. I have had the extraordinary opportunity to work with my family and some of the state's best attorneys, legal assistants, paralegals, investigators, mitigation specialists and expert witnesses. I have developed several close friendships on both sides of the isle. I wish to humbly thank each and every one of you for this it has been a truly blessed life and I try to never forget that.

PLEASE ENJOY THE MUSIC

Here are some Blues cuts from my old band. I hope in my semi-retirement to have more time to travel, fish, kayak, ride my bike and even play and record music. I may even have time to put some new tunes here.
